Hi! My name is Matt Keenan and I'm an artist who has a passion for illustrating monsters/creatures, fan art and whatever else pops into my head. I enjoy attending conventions, meeting new people and sharing my art with fans and artists alike. I'm always up for a challenge and every work of art is a journey for me, with it's own twists and turns along the way. I try to find the best solution for every project and whenever possible I'll interject some humor into my work.

So I have a lot of people ask me, How do you create your art? Well I'm here to shed some light on the process.

For me there is no substitute for the feeling of a soft prisma color pencil gliding over paper. I usually start every project with some small thumbnail sketches, I call this the experimentation stage. Often all do several renditions of a character to try and figure out what is working from what's not. This is one of the most fun parts of my art journey because I'm creating lots of characters/props/backgrounds very quickly and while I have an idea of what I want to create, I don't always know what the end result will look like and I enjoy seeing these characters being born and brought to life right before my eyes.
